Baby Nook

Our Baby Nook is a calm, nurturing space designed especially for our youngest children, aged 6 months to 2 years. This cosy, intimate room offers a gentle environment where babies can feel safe, secure, and supported as they begin their learning journey.

With a 1:3 staff-to-child ratio, each baby receives the individual attention they need to thrive. We place a strong emphasis on emotional development, early communication, social interaction, and physical growth, offering age-appropriate experiences to support their development at every stage.

The Baby Nook features a wide variety of stimulating toys and sensory resources, as well as a snug area for cuddles, stories, and bonding moments throughout the day. A separate sleep room provides a tranquil space for restful naps, complete with each child’s own sheets and blankets, ensuring comfort and consistency.

babies also enjoy frequent access to our large outdoor area, giving them plenty of opportunities for fresh air, exploration, and movement in a safe and stimulating setting.

For each child, we provide a personal storage basket for nappies, wipes, and creams. We prioritise health and safety at all times, following strict sleep policies and safe-sleeping practices. Our trained staff carefully monitor each baby during sleep times, ensuring they are always safe and well cared for.

We value strong partnerships with parents/carers and understand how important it is to stay connected to your child’s day. For families who opt in, we offer a secure online journal, providing real-time updates and photographs throughout the day. These updates capture precious moments and keep you fully informed about your child’s care, learning, and experiences while with us.

The Nurture Room

Our Nurture Room is a Montessori-inspired space designed to spark awe and wonder every day. Catering for children aged 2 to 5 years, it provides a rich environment where children can grow in confidence, creativity, and independence.

Within this carefully designed room, children are encouraged to:

  • Strengthen their fine and gross motor skills through hands-on, messy play and practical experiences.
  • Develop their early mathematical and literacy skills through purposeful, play-based learning.
  • Build resilience, independence, and problem-solving abilities by exploring and taking safe risks in our purpose-built garden.

With a 1:5 staff-to-child ratio for 2-year-olds, and 1:8 for 3 & 4 year-olds, we ensure that every child receives the support and guidance they need to flourish.

Our highly experienced early years educators understand that children must first feel seen, heard, and supported before they can thrive. Through careful observation, encouragement, and gentle guidance, our team helps children to achieve their developmental milestones at their own pace.

For our rising 4-year-olds, we set aside dedicated time away from younger children, giving our educators the opportunity to focus on school readiness. From early literacy and numeracy to social skills and independence, children are fully supported for a confident transition into primary school.

To strengthen our partnership with families, we provide a secure online journal where daily updates, photographs, and observations are shared. Parents/carers can also contribute to the journal, creating a meaningful record of each child’s journey.
